quilted valentine

I love making these "quilted" style cards. They are easy to assemble, and I get to use the Top Note die and my Big Shot.
If you haven't made one yet, you will need a 1 1/4" square punch, the Top Note die and a Big Shot die cutting machine. To begin you will cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 6" x 3 3/4". Then with your designer paper - I used the new Sending Love designer paper from the Occasions Mini - cut 12 - 1 1/4" squares. Arrange them on top of the Whisper White card stock to your liking and adhere .
Next, place this on top of the Top Note die and run it through the Big Shot.
To add a bit more "quilt", I used my Chocolate Chip marker and added stitching lines.
I cut a piece of grosgrain ribbon and attached it before adhering the "quilt" to the next layer of my card. For fun I added a mini tag using the Medium Jewelry Tag punch and Tiny Tags clear mount stamp set. I am thrilled at how easy it is to stamp the greeting from Tiny Tags onto the miniature tag using the clear mount stamps and acrylic block! Love it!
The little clip is from the Clips assortment in the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue.
I'm sure that my MIL is going to enjoy receiving this valentine!

All of the materials used in making this card are available from my online store.
