elegant Christmas

Here is a card that we made at one of my workshops using the new Waffle Paper (120984).
It's SO vintage! We also used Cherry Cobbler cardstock (119685)  for the card base and layered on a 2" strip of Whisper White cardstock (100730) trimmed with a Scallop Edge Border punch (119882).
Then we added a strip of that scrumptious designer paper, Deck The Halls.
I chose one of my favourite Christmas stamp sets, Bells & Boughs (120831). The bells are stamped in Versamark ink (102283) onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, punched out with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch (120906) and sprinkled with Gold embossing powder (109129) then set with the Heat Tool (100005). Next we punched out a Cherry Cobbler layer with the 2 1/2" Circle punch, and adhered it to the back of the scallop. We then added adhesive to the edges only - or you will end up with glue all over your fingers while doing this step - onto the back of the punched circle. Using about 12" of the Metallic Gold Waffle Paper cut to 1" in width, we "gathered" it while pressing it into the adhesive all the way around until you have a gorgeous ruffle. Lastly, we stamped the sentiment from the set on a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring about 3 1/2" x 1", forking one end and adding a Basic Pearl (119247) - I use these on everything, I love them!
