cute carriage

Isn't this the cutest baby card idea?
Here is how to make it.
To begin, you need to cut out the card base using the Sizzix Scallop Circle die. Take a piece of Whisper White card stock large enough to fit the die, when folded in half. The fold of the card stock will need to sit just inside the scallop at the top, in order to end up with the two scallops "attached" - hope this makes sense.
The rest is easy.
You will need to cut out the carriage bottom also using the Scallop Die, as well as one for the top. As you can see in the photo, the scallops have been cut in half with your trimmer or scissors and adhered to the card base.
I have used Stampin' Up!'s Scallop border punch to add detail and cover where the two different patterned papers meet.
The handle of the carriage is actually part of a swirl, cut from the Sizzlet Swirl.
The wheels are punched out using the 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches. You will need to play with the wheel placement a bit in order for the card to stand up.
Embellish with a bit of ribbon and your good to go!

all materials are available from my online store.

Hi Cathy,
I love your carriage card. I have two friend's expecting soon, so I think I will have to try this idea. Thanks!
