glittery gift box

Wouldn't this glittery little gift box make a fun treat for the ladies at your New Year's dinner table?
Using the Sizzix Matchbox die you can crank out a bunch of these effortlessly! The glitter technique I used is easy too - just cover the box cover with Versamark - sprinkle with clear embossing powder, and set with a heat gun. Before assembling the matchbox punch two holes in the side of the box bottom to run ribbon through. Using sticky tape make sure ribbon is firmly stuck to the inside of the box before assembly.
To make the flap for the purse cut out of the same card stock,
a piece measuring 2 1/4" x 2 11/16, and repeat the above steps for embossing. You will need to score the flap at 3/4", and if desired, punch with a corner rounder on the opposite end.
I used a decorative brad for the button, and attached it with a pop up glue dot before adhering the flap to the matchbox slipcase.
Use this same idea for the men, just omit the ribbon.

All of the materials used are available from my online store!
