I was asked to make a card for a BBQ themed birthday party, and I just happened to come across one on Leeann Greef's blog - I love her punch art!
For the background layer I have used Bashful Blue card stock to mimic the sky along with some Garden Green trimmed with my paper snips for the grass - how fun is that?
The Real Red bbq, is cut using my 1 3/8" circle punch then embossed with clear embossing powder and a heat gun which gives it a glossy look.
You can punch out the wheels with a 1/2" and 1/4" circle punch, and add a couple of legs cut out freehand or with the Word Window punch. Adding a couple of silver brads adds some texture and interest.
As for the picnic table, cut out a piece of printed paper - mine is Bella Rose - and add an edge with the Scalllop edge punch. The happy birthday, hot dog and burger on a platter, are stamped used Voila! plus a retired stamp set. You could use a "flourish" shaped stamp for the steam, or do as I have and use a fine tipped marker and sketch it in.
The table legs are made using the same technique as the bbq legs.
There you have it! Enjoy, and have a great day!
