90th birthday!

It's my mil birthday this weekend, and we are having a celebration for her. I wanted to use my sizzix bird w/leaves and flower die, with some "spring" colours for her card.
This morning I needed some inspiration, so I went into my files and found an idea.

I just love cranking out die cuts with my Bigshot die cutting machine - it's so easy to use. Stampin' Up! has MANY new dies in the Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalogue, my wish list is very long....... Can't wait to order on Monday, January 19th!

Back to the card details. I used chocolate chip for the card base, and matted it with pink pirouette. The swirly stamp is baroque motifs - pg. 112 in the new catty - stamped with chocolate chip. Retired designer paper, and a strip of chocolate chip cardstock make up the next layer. I used the scallop border punch and my cropadile to punch holes through each scallop - I won't need to fiddle with that anymore as there is a new punch called eyelet border in the new catty !(p.185).
Chocolate chip organdy ribbon is wrapped around the designer paper layer and tied.
The bird is cut from close to cocoa cardstock, the leaves from old olive, and the flower from pink pirouette. The flower is finished off with a rhinestone brad.
Greeting stamp is from short and sweet.
Enjoy!

all materials are Stampin' Up!
