"Right At Home" is now a retired stamp set from Stampin' Up!, but I reach for it on numerous occasions either for a house warming, new to the neighbourhood, or as a postcard indicating that you have moved with your new address enclosed.
This particular occasion is for a couple who have just moved into a new home that they have built. I have used my favourite Sizzix die, Top Note to mat the stamped image which was coloured with ink from my dye ink pads and aqua painter.
I have tried several types of markers that are on the market, and I find that I always go back to using the watercolour technique.
If you are wondering which technique I am describing, here is the scoop.
Take your Stampin' Up! dye ink pad and squeeze the lid down with your thumbs. When you open it, you will see some of the ink has transferred to the lid - this is what you want to happen. Using your aqua painter, dip into the ink on the lid and you are ready to paint! So easy!
An important point is to use an ink like Staz-On or another permanent ink to stamp your image, if you don't, the water from your aqua painter will smear the image and you will have wasted a piece of cardstock or watercolour paper.
Have fun with it, and stay tuned for more!
